Myths and Chips.

I am in love with my enemies because they make me appreciate and love my friends abundantly.
I love Myths because they teach me the inner meaning of life.
I am in love with that what others call “ugly” or " bad" because these are what makes us recognize Beauty.
I Love Second life because makes me creative and teaches me more about Reality.
And at last I am in love with my shortcomings because I sense that this feeling will make me grow.
But most of all I am in love with the goddess Destiny
because she enriches our lives in the most unpredictable and unexpected ways.
These are some of my drivers of what you are going to read below.

Listen, my abilities were a bit blocked the last days.
First was that flu.......grrrrr....
then some scholarly buds commanded that my English are not that good, that’s why.
But then I thought: My buds follow what I ‘m saying here and they seem to understand it
otherwise they would not be able to disapprove my blogging style.
And that’s good enough for me….So here I am again. :)
After all, that what‘s inside, what causes what we want to do or say,
the “how” we try to transform it in doings that another would understand them,
that ‘s the real treat.

With all that in mind I will tell you two striking stories.
First, The making of a God, out of the Era of Myths.
Then, The birth of a Club, out of the Era of Chips.

Well, my scholarly buds might think now
“ omg! [=religious expression of web helplessness]
 what is he talking about!”.
But you read them and tell me if you feel how smooth the one flows into the other.
Because it does.
Just look at that short slides-show I conceived for to make my point.

The marble face you see as first is the one of a God out of the Myths: the mighty Zeus.
His name means – in a forgotten language – “Shine” like the splendor of the clearest day
giving away the flavor of what Zeus destined to be : the ruler of all nature.
He was the youngest son of a weird power freak Titan.
A prophecy said that his children will take over his powers
so he was swallowing them as soon as they were born.
But his spouse gave birth to Zeus baby in a far away island on Earth
handling to her husband a rock wrapped in baby blankets and diapers
which he – power freak Titan as he was – promptly swallowed.
Zeus, safe in a secret warm and moist cave, was lovingly nurtured by a beautiful Nymph,
the nature itself.
Zeus grew up to be the shiny incarnation of all what we humans are able to,
even of those things we don’t dare to or we are by times ashamed of.
And the Beautiful Nymph saw that and and she smiled satisfied
and let him fly away for to fulfill his destiny.
The young god Zeus freed his brothers and sisters from the stomach of his father
and all of them descended to inhabit the top of a beautiful mountain for to be near us.
To supervise and protect and keep in shape everything on earth,
in the sky and what is in-between as well as all what lives and happens inside us.
Besides being the God of the gods, Zeus was as well a real  master of love
as love meant to be: passionate and boundless.
Although he was married to a goddess and they had children,
Zeus gave birth himself to two of his kids;
a daughter was born out of his head and a son out of his thigh.
Powered as he was by all forces of nature and all human urges and desires
this XL sensual god was perpetually transforming to all kinds of shapes for to conquer some beautiful girls
and some very handsome boys.
How he did all that is very entertaining and fascinating.
If you want all the spicy details Wikipedia is – for starters- a better place than our Blog.
We live into the Chips Era so jump there and enjoy.

See what I mean?

Then as the centuries passed by,
Mighty Zeus & Co were impeached like they were bad and amoral.

A new breed of virginal deities arrived to fill the void.
But this new holy bunch ascended to inhabit unfathomable heights into heavens
and that drove us gradually into our Era,
The Era of Chips.

One might conclude that  Myths are destined to be swallowed by the currents of the Time.
Nothing is less true than that.
If once up on the time was Myth which enabled us to give shape to our galloping imagination
and to our urge for understand, create and transmit,
in our days Chips do the same for us.
Btw. When I say “Chips” I don’t mean fried slices of potatoes.
I refer to this ingenious invention which somehow control our Reality,
but also make it possible for us to arrive here in Second Life for to evolve, create and experience its wonders
even the high tech rebirth of the essence of a Myth.
yes :) The one of mighty Zeus.

Look at the portrait of this woman.

Some when, she was standing on the pavement of a street of a Second Life continent,
the Sim of Cologne City.
You are looking at the beautiful nymph Sally Prinz.
Her eyes, somehow fixed on a building, were like they were expecting something to happen without knowing what.
That building, a kind of old Gothic structure,
was a curious intriguing mixture of a factory and a castle. Empty.

A young man walks on by.
“Hello! How r u?
“Fine thnks and U…what’s up?”
“ I come from the planet Earth city Cologne and I am exploring its simulation. :)
But what is this great building you are staring at? I don’t recognize it. :)”

Sally loved building.
She had created that imposing empty structure but she was wondering
about what to do with it. The young man gave her her answer.
“Initiate in this building something new for Second Life.
For instance, I have seen here even the famous Cathedral of our city
but none of its infamous saunas. “
The creative Nymph looked at the man and beamed an agreeing smile towards him.
A unique project was started in the Sim of Cologne city.
The first Gay Sauna of Second Life was born.
“All we need is now a suitable name to enchant the project “chanted excitedly the man.
Sally knew.
Inspiration, enthusiasm, the magic of Second life
– or was the goddess Destiny? :) –
revived the ancient myth in her memory.

“Zeus”

Look at the young man as he was the day he met his nymph Sally.

You are looking at Franko Box.
He was baptized to manager of their venture.
And nurtured by Sally, he grew as the whole project did
guided by their creative hands and You are looking at Franko Box. He was baptized to manager of their venture
And nurtured by Sally he grew near as the whole project did
guided by their creative hands and impelled by the warmth of their friendship.
When the time was ripe
Sally handled "ZeusClub" to Franko and she returned to Earth.

The rest is Second Life Myth...or history.

Whatever :)

I haven’t finished this yet.
I want to tell you something more and above all to show you some awesome pictures
of some wonders all this brought up into Second Life.

But I need a pause to eat something.

Ok.
I can imagine that you find my story to long for a blog.
But I didn’t dare to press it into contemporary words compactness.
You might have understood that already.

I wanted you to know that,
all your erotic encounters,
all the glamorous parties’,
all the mosaic of “ZeusClub” great events you enjoy are not just a shallow shine.
That it is growing into the Future being nurtured by its magical Past.

  1. After all that Author have already said it is hard to find words more to say. Only the one who truely saw and openly felt shares the same and looks forwerd for more.

  3. Painting a piece of art can be done with more than colours. Words can create not only a history but a glimpse into the story of life. In this case...second life. Thank you Ron for your "glimpse" a high wall that behinds it lies more stories for us all to learn the past present and future. You are creative and blessed.

  4. For somene whose first language isn't English, the prose written by Ron Winterwolf is not only excellent in its expression of thought, but also detailed and significant to everyone in SL. We dod forget alwasy that behind each avatar there is a person, and real too. By using myths to demonstrate this is brilliant and builds a rainbow which everyone can, and should, look at before the make decisions which can, and normally do affect others in some way. Congratulations Ronny on a well thought through Blog, tender and pignant and to the point of clarity. Keep the Blogs coming and your creativity flowing. And those who think the grammar is bad, the words misspelled, punctuation imperfect...please take a close look in your Pool by the Fountain next time. Hairy McAndrews
